MoveBall Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how XORIX (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you use MoveBall (the “App”), listed on the App Store as “MoveBall: Shake & Sweat”. You shake your phone and the App suggests a quick bodyweight move.

The short version:

  • You don't need an account. Your workout history stays on your phone.
  • At most one full-screen ad a day, from Google AdMob, only in the afternoon or evening after a finished move. Ads are only personalised if you allow tracking. There are no analytics.
  • If you sign in with Apple and join the crew, your crew profile and anything you choose to post are stored in Apple's iCloud so other MoveBall users can see them.

What Stays on Your Phone

  • Moves and progress. Moves you complete, points, streaks, badges, settings and reminder times.
  • Your profile. The name and avatar you pick. If you use the App without an account, a random guest ID too.
  • Sign in with Apple. If you sign in, your Apple sign-in ID (in the iOS Keychain), and the name and email Apple shares if you choose to. The email isn't used or sent anywhere. Apple never gives us your password.
  • Safety choices. People you block, posts you've reported and your agreement to the crew rules.

This information is never sent to us.

The Crew (Optional)

The crew needs Sign in with Apple. If you join, the following is stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit public database), where other MoveBall users can see it:

  • your crew profile: display name, avatar, colour, friend code, points, weekly points and streak;
  • posts you choose to share: the move, level, your caption and, if you attach one, your video clip. Posts appear in the Everyone feed and in the Friends feed of people who added you;
  • high-fives you give.

If you report a post, the report (the post, its author, the caption and your reason) is stored in iCloud where only you and we can read it. We review reports within 24 hours.

Advertising

To show and measure the daily ad, Google's AdMob SDK collects device and usage data such as your IP address, device model, ad interactions and, only if you tap Allow on Apple's tracking prompt, your device's advertising identifier. In the UK and EEA you're asked for consent first and can change it at any time in Me › Settings › Ad privacy choices. You can also turn off tracking in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. See how Google uses information from apps.

Camera, Microphone, Photos and Notifications

The camera and microphone are used only while you're filming a move. Recordings stay on your phone unless you save, share or post them. MoveBall can only add clips to your photo library when you ask; it can't see your photos. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, with no server involved.

Keeping and Deleting Your Data

  • Delete a single post from its ••• menu.
  • Me › Settings › Delete account removes your crew profile, posts, clips, high-fives, follows and reports from iCloud, and all the App's data from your phone.
  • Without an account, Me › Settings › Delete my data removes everything from your phone.
  • You can stop using Sign in with Apple at any time: iOS Settings › [your name] › Sign in with Apple.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Crew data is stored by Apple in iCloud. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

MoveBall isn't directed at children under 13.

Your Rights

Under UK and EU data-protection law you may have rights over your data, including:

  • The right to access the information we hold about you
  • The right to have it corrected
  • The right to have it deleted

Most of this you can do in the App. For anything else, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new revision date, and significant changes will be shown in the App.
